As part of the ‘Mighty Aussie Road Trip’ couples from the Fans vs Faves series, dropped in to Mitre 10 stores around the country to give advice to eager renovators-to-be.
The Central Coast couple showed they had a powerful following with hundreds attending the Macksville event.
Mitre 10 owner Jason Southwell said he was overwhelmed by the response.
“We had a great day with supplier presentations, free popcorn, clowns creating masterpieces from balloons, a jumping castle, face painting and an appearance from the local fire brigade,” he said.
“Kyal and Kara talked to the audience, followed by questions and answers.”
To finish, the pair held ‘A minute to win it’ challenge where two groups had to “do a smarties separation with an accent paint brush”.
“Some of the prizes won included five $20 Mitre 10 vouchers, an absco hexi garden bed, a sabco gift basket, Mitre 10 soccer balls, and more,” Jason said.
