THE NAMBUCCA Heads ladies number 4 bowls pennants team flag has been officially unfurled by the two skips, Joy Nicholas and Myra McKay, along with district representative vice-president Thelma Scott.
It was a significant occasion as it coincided with the club’s President, Secretary and Life Members day.
After lunch, president Pam presented the club’s life members, Madj Dixon and Audrey Abercrombie, with a posey and gift.
President Pam’s side took on the secretary’s side in friendly rivalry, coming out 172 to 118 shot winners.
As this was Pam’s last event as president it was fitting that she was on the winning team, which was Coral Behan, Pam James, and Bev Walsh.
The winning team for the secretary’s side was Moira Blair, Corrin Nouws and Myra McKay.
On Sunday, the first semi-final of the club triples between Michelle Fredericks, Pat Peterson, Pat Smith and Val Miles, Corrin Nouws, Noelene Lawrence was held.
Pat Smith’s team triumphed in a see-sawing match over Noelene’s team, 21 shots to 18.
