Coffs Harbour rider Brendon Gorman scorches around the Jacks Ridge mountain bike track
MORE than 100 keen cyclists turned up to Jacks Ridge Rd for the Nambucca leg in the ‘GNaTPACK’ Mountain Bike Racing Series.
GNaTPACK is so named because it comprises the clubs of Grafton, Nambucca, Taree, Port Macquarie, Armidale, Coffs Harbour and Kempsey.
Riders participate in the following age groups in male and female categories: 15 and under, 17 and under, 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ and Elite/Open.
Nambucca Valley Cycle Club members spent the week prior grooming the course and they managed to prepare a track of a high standard. That, combined with
perfect weather, set the stage for fast racing.
Local GP Mark Smith, a competitor and sponsor, said the event couldn’t have gone any better.
