THE SUN shone and the rising talent of the Nambucca Valley pushed themselves to the limit at the high school Lower North Coast zone athletics carnival on Tuesday.
The EJ Biffin Fields at Nambucca Heads were the perfect venue for the track and field meeting.
To qualify for zone, athletes had to star at their respective school carnivals.
Among the schools represented at zone were Nambucca Heads, Macksville and Bowraville Central - but athletes came from as far away as Kempsey, Wauchope and Port Macquarie.
