From tomorrow through to Monday, beautiful old cars from all corners of Queensland and NSW will descend on the area for their Buick East Coast Meet.
Buick Car Club vice-president Tony Gentilcore said what started as a biannual get-together between the Queensland and NSW clubs had gained national popularity and cars were expected from Armidale to Coffs, Port Macquarie, Tamworth and everywhere in between.
“We chose the Nambucca Valley because it is conveniently about half-way between Queensland and NSW,” Tony said.
“It is a weekend of driving and sightseeing, involving local communities in the great Buick fellowship, which is all about meeting and making friends, old and new.”
The cars, ranging in vintage from 1910 to early 1980s, will be on display in Bowraville on Saturday, from 10am to noon and on Sunday in Nambucca Heads, from 10am to midday.
Adding to the colour of the occasion, some owners may also be dressed in clothes of their car’s era.
