No bloopers, or swear jar beckons at bowls fun day

Macksville Country Club will again be the venue for this year’s Give Me 5 for Kids charity bowls day.

As has been the case for the past two years, radio 2MC personalities have given up their time to be involved in raising money for the children’s ward at the local hospital. Breakfast show announcer Strawny and his side kick Otto Von Beerbottle will be there, as will the great Blueywaters and race caller and sports announcer Dick Gillard.

The afternoon game of bowls is open to all comers.

Bowls will get underway at 1pm on Saturday, with teams of four players. Single entries can also be nominated by giving the club a call on 6565-1400.

Cost is $10 per head which includes a sausage

sizzle.

Other fun activities include long range putting, one-hundred club, raffles, and an auction of signed rugby league items and craft wear.

A swear jar will also operate during proceedings along with various give away prizes during the game.

Organisers are hoping for fine weather and

plenty of players, as they have set a goal of raising $4000.
