Worst affected were the rural areas of the shire – Valla Rural, Bowraville, Misabotti and Taylor’s Arm – with the SES responding to several call outs.
Shire general manager, Michael Coulter, said council had assessed the damage and would continue to do so.
“We’ve been declared a natural disaster area due to the deluge and have completed a natural disaster evaluation form,” he said.
