Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has promised to provide the actions and resources necessary to crackdown on organised bikie gang violence.
Mr Rudd made his first comments on the violence at Sydney Airport on Sunday after his arrival in Washington DC this morning Sydney time.
He said the behaviour of bikie gangs and "others engaged in criminal action" was "absolutely unacceptable".
"Bikie violence, bikie thugs, and organised criminal activity from my point of view should have zero tolerance," Mr Rudd said.
"I find it unacceptable. It is unacceptable. It's repugnant."
Mr Rudd noted that a federal committee of the country's Attorneys-General would discuss the issue at its next meeting.
He also said recommendations might arise from the police investigation into the incident.
"If further resources are necessary for the future, then this action will be taken," Mr Rudd said.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to meet the US President, Barack Obama, tomorrow morning, Sydney time. They will discuss the global financial crisis and Afghanistan.
