Two Scotts Head Boardriders, Coco and Chilla Beeby, competed at the Ripcurl Gromsearch Victoria in September.

Both competed out of their comfort zone in the freezing water conditions.

Coco and Chilla successfully breezed through all of their heats, both making places in the final. Chilla placed 1st in the U12 boys and Coco placed 4th in the U16 girls.

Coco won the Ocean & Earth Teenage Rampage in Newcastle giving her the invitation to compete in the Ocean and Earth International Teenage Rampage at Cronulla last weekend, winning three heats and coming second in her semi-final.

In the 1ft choppy conditions, Coco secured her spot in the final where she placed 2nd in the U16 girls.

Congratulations to both Coco and Chilla and to all the Scotts Head Boardriders.

We look forward to an exciting competition in 2012!

The first competition day will be Sunday February 26.
