Nambucca Roosters Under-18s are successfully through to the grand final after defeating Sawtell by 20 points to 10 on Sunday at Sawtell.
It was a hard-fought game with Sawtell leading at half time by 10 points to 8.
Nambucca had a player sin-binned for 10 minutes in each half, which meant they had 20 minutes of play with only 12 players.
They held their composure and focused with determination to eventually take control of the game in the second half. The boys are so passionate about their game that it bubbles over at times and comes against them.
They will need to be totally focused and in control when they meet the winner of the game between Sawtell and Macleay Valley Mustangs in the grand final to be played at Macksville in two weeks time.
Sawtell put the first points on the board when a kick across field into goals paid off for them. Nambucca lost a player to the sin bin when they were close to scoring soon after.
However they regathered and four minutes later they put their first points on the board.
