Sunday, October 25 was the final interclub gymkhana for the year and the Nambucca River riders that travelled to Kempsey showground had a great day.
It was 15-year-old Tayla Chapman that shone on the day as champion senior rider, overall senior champion and the winner of the Glenn Brighton Memorial Trophy.
Results for the other Nambucca River riders were:
Under-11: Shenise Guiana – first in the bend, second hack, fifth in team of four, barrel and 50m around peg.
Under 13: Oliver Gadsby – third in hack, fifth in team of four, sixth in barrel; Petrea Guiana – first in hack, fifth in pairs, team of four.
Under 15: Ashleigh Johnson – first in team of four, third in 50m around peg, fourth in hack, pairs, sixth in rider; Chloe Dwyer – first in team of four, third in barrel, bend, fourth in 50m around peg, pairs and fifth in rider.
Under 17: Tayla Chapman – first in rider, B-grade jump, team of four, second in hack, pairs, bend, third in barrel, 3-mug race, fourth in 50m around peg; Joe Johnson – second in 3-mug race, third in bend, fourth in rider, fifth in barrel and 50m around peg; Juanita Guiana – first in team of four, second in hack, pairs, third in rider, 50m around peg, fourth in barrel, 3-mug race and fifth in bend.
Congratulations to all these riders. Nambucca River will be holding its Christmas party on November 29 at the Valla Lions picnic area.
