Flooding rains halt Twenty20 comp

12 Nov, 2009 04:00 AM
No cricket was played last Saturday with all grounds awash from another local deluge. All teams gained equal points.

Next Saturday will see the finals being played in Twenty20.

The top four teams will play the A-grade division while the bottom four will do battle for the B-grade honours.

The A-grade format is Nambucca Hotel (1) vs Warrell Creek (4) at Thistle Park turf and Nambucca Head CC (2) vs Macksville Ex-Services (3) at Donnelly/Welsh. Winners to play final at 4pm on Thistle Park turf.

The B-grade format is Taylors Arm (5) vs Macksville Country Club (8) at Coronation Park and Talarm (6) vs Bowraville (7) at Biffin Field. Winners to play final at Coronation Park at 4pm.

In form batters to watch with their tally so far include Joe Costa (194), Jake Fuller (184), Dane Luffman (166), while the bowlers taking wickets include Tyle Doolan (11), John Cowan (9) and Jenny Brabant (9).

Nambucca Valley was to play interdistrict at Grafton last Sunday but the game also was washed out.
