Ron Gleeson (12) and Ian Powell (29) opened the innings and started well with a 35-run partnership.
A minor stumble then followed with Nambucca Valley in all sorts at 5/79 after 22 overs. A sixth-wicket stand of 53 between Terry Baldwin (37 not out) and Andrew Maggs (22) put the local boys back in the game.
It was there that Kevin Laverty put his mark on the game and brought his team the rest of the way home with some quality batting, scoring 29 not out.
This win was achieved in the second last over with no more batters to come in.
