 Tahlea sets sights on Gift

Tahlea sets sights on Gift

29 Oct, 2009 04:00 AM
Macksville High School student Tahlea Hennessey has her plate full.

The 18-year-old Gift Queen hopeful is not only juggling the challenges of the competition, but is currently sitting for her HSC.

However, despite the challenge, Tahlea said she was determined to be a part of the Gift this year and raise money for the SES and the Nambucca Valley Cancer Support Group.

The second eldest of four, Tahlea loves being a part of a big family.

Her older sister Krystal, who won charity queen in 2007, was Tahlea’s inspiration for getting involved with the gift this year.

Tahlea recently signed on for a apprenticeship with Macksville salon Hair Care.

She hopes to pursue hairdressing as a career and is looking forward to taking it on full-time once she has finished her HSC.

You can help support Tahlea by making a donation to her charities at Macksville Foodworks, which is her sponsor for this year’s Gift.
