Latest on Nambucca road closures

PAUL Gallagher, director of Engineering Services, wishes to advise residents of the Nambucca Shire of the current state of roads affected by the flood event.

He stressed road conditions can change at any time and the following information on the state of roads and bridges in the shire is to the best of council’s knowledge as at 1pm today.

BOAT HARBOUR BRIDGE on Taylors Arm Road CLOSED

FACTORY BRIDGE on Taylors arm Road CLOSED

GORLEYS BRIDGE on Missabotti Road OPEN with CAUTION on side track

LAVERTYS BRIDGE on Taylors Arm Road CLOSED

WELSHS CREEK ROAD (East of Proctors Road) OPEN with CAUTION

BROWNS CROSSING ROAD (Northern Bridge) OPEN

BROWNS CROSSING ROAD (Southern Bridge) OPEN

BURRAPINE BRIDGE on Taylors Arm Road OPEN with CAUTION

GRAYS CROSSING BRIDGE on Taylors Arm Road OPEN

HUTTMANS BRIDGE on North Bank Road OPEN with CAUTION

LANES BRIDGE on Rodeo Drive OPEN

MOTLEYS BRIDGE on Rodeo Drive OPEN

SCOTTS HEAD ROAD (Highway Bridge) OPEN with CAUTION

SULLIVANS ROAD VALLA (dirt road at bridge) OPEN

Council is continuously assessing roads throughout the Shire and will update council’s website at scheduled intervals.

Mr Gallagher said motorists must take care and precaution when travelling on both the sealed and unsealed roads within the shire due to pavement damage.

Any residents who requires emergency help in floods and storms, should call the SES on 132-500. In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero).

Residents can report any problems experienced on roads to council’s emergency after hours line on (0417) 488 565 or 6568-2555 during normal business hours.
